What you can do
What you can find out on Facebook

Study the ads a company runs
Ads by company lists the ads one advertiser has in the library, longest-running first. An ad kept running for months is usually one that pays for itself, so start there.

How a lookup works
Type one thing, then read what came back
- 1
Type one thing
A keyword, a handle, or a link. The page says what the lookup costs before you press Search. - 2
Read the saved answer
It stays on your account with charts and plain sentences worked out from it. Opening it again is free until it ages out. - 3
Follow it to the next lookup
A creator opens their posts and an app opens its reviews. Following a link only fills the search, so you choose when to spend.
What it does not do
- Public Pages and public groups only. Personal profiles and closed groups are not read.
- Ads show the dates each one ran. We do not show what an advertiser spent.
- We do not connect to your Page's own insights. Numbers are what the public Page shows.
Questions people ask
- Do I need to log in to Facebook?
- No. Paste a Page or group link, or type a company name for its ads. We read what any visitor can see.
- Can I follow a Page's followers over time?
- Yes. Add it under Accounts. We read its followers every week and draw the growth beside your other accounts.
- Where do the ads come from?
- From Facebook's public ad library, the same ads any visitor can see there. We save them to your account with each ad's dates, a picture of the creative, and the button it uses.
