Terms of service

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract. Give us accurate account information and keep your password, session, and API keys private.

You are responsible for activity on your account. Contact support@rankmyseo.com if you believe someone else has access.

RankMySEO checks public search results, stores position history, reviews public site and backlink data, and lets you read account data through the dashboard or MCP. The current plans and limits are on Pricing. Check timing is explained on How it works.

Search results, backlink data, traffic estimates, and site checks can be delayed, incomplete, or changed by their original source. RankMySEO does not guarantee a search position, traffic level, revenue result, or competitor outcome.

Paid plans are billed through a hosted payment service. When you start a paid plan, you authorize that service to charge the amount and billing interval shown at checkout. Its payment and privacy terms also apply.

A recurring plan renews until it is cancelled. Plan limits apply across the dashboard and MCP. We may refuse work above a limit or ask you to move to a plan with more room.

Contact Support before the next renewal if you want to stop future charges. Cancellation is recorded when Support confirms it.

Purchases are generally non-refundable after paid access starts. The full rule, including duplicate and unauthorized charges, is in the Refund and cancellation policy.

Do not use RankMySEO to:

• break a law or another person’s rights;
• probe, damage, overload, or interfere with the service;
• bypass plan limits, rate limits, authentication, or access controls;
• send malware or attempt unauthorized access to an account or system; or
• publish an API key or use another person’s account without permission.

Automated access must use the documented MCP endpoint and stay within its limits. We may rate-limit, suspend, or close access that threatens the service or other customers.

You keep any rights you have in information you add. You give RankMySEO permission to process that information only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service.

Do not submit confidential information that RankMySEO does not need. You must have the right to provide any personal information you put in a site, keyword, support ticket, or MCP request.

RankMySEO owns the hosted service, brand, interface, and original site content. You may use them only as these terms allow.

Code published in the RankMySEO open-source toolkit is governed by its own Apache-2.0 license. These terms do not replace that license.

RankMySEO depends on services for payments, sign-in, email, security, hosting, and SEO data. Their terms may apply when you use them. We are not responsible for a third-party service changing, refusing, delaying, or ending its service.

We may suspend or close an account for non-payment, abuse, a security risk, a legal requirement, or a serious breach of these terms. We will give notice when it is reasonable and safe to do so.

You can ask us to close your account from Account or Support. Some billing and support records may remain after account deletion for legal, accounting, security, and dispute handling.

RankMySEO is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent allowed by law. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or that every result is complete, current, or error-free. RankMySEO provides software and data, not legal, tax, financial, or professional SEO advice.

To the extent allowed by law, RankMySEO is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from the service.

RankMySEO’s total liability for a claim is limited to the fees you paid for the service during the 12 months before the event that caused the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

We may update these terms when the service or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top will change. If a change materially affects a paid account, we will give reasonable notice.
